Best purchase for a beginner skier! They are quite breathable so if you do sweat a lot then these are good. I was free of bruises!
I know my title says for plus sized people but if you’re not plus sized the padding is A+ either way. The reason I’m shouting out to plus sized people is because I currently have 5 pairs of padded shorts in my living room (the ones you probably just scrolled past or clicked on before this one) and they don’t even come close to fitting me. I couldn’t find a picture or description of anyone close to my size so I just bought all the recommended ones because I luckily have some smaller friends and we’re all learning to skate together. So I can give them the others. I promised myself if any of the shorts fit me I’d take a picture and write a review.I’m 5’9, 325 lbs. I bought a 3xl and I know my measurements go beyond what’s listed for the size but the stretch for these is REAAAL, and great.I’m a newbie roller skater and when I finally hit the floor falling backwards the other day I was so happy I was wearing these. Shout out to the ppl who make these shorts my tail bone thanks you 😂
Used this for snowboarding lessons. It was a lifesaver! sadly I only bought this after I had taken some hard falls so my butt already hurt. When I wore these it still hurt a lot but that is probably because I was already bruised from before. If I hadn't already been sore, I know these wouldn't prevented that from happening!
I bought these for biking and they don't bunch up like other padded shorts.
At the interest of being pun-y, these things saved my buns (literally) more than once! I have an 8 year old who just started playing hockey. I, myself, am a hockey fanatic and always wished I could have played when I was a kid so, I took his new interest as an opportunity to learn how to skate myself. Needless to say, gravity is not your friend at nearly 6' and 200 lbs. In fact, based on the bruise my backside suffered during our first roller hockey adventure, I'd say it downright hates me. So I purchased these for my learn to skate ice skating class and they were super duper clutch. These things are terrific. They fit snug, breathe really well, are comfy under pants/shorts (please don't wear them as pants alone, baby. For all of us, please). But most of all, when gravity grabs you and pulls you down, they do exactly what they are designed to do. And I cannot tell you how much more confidence that gives you on the ice and the pavement when you know, if you're going down, you're not going to burst a cheek when you do. I highly recommend these. They would be perfect for literally any sport where you might fall. Happy adventuring everyone!
